Suetology Rules
Move around the board buying as many properties (Streets, Stations and Utilities)
as you can. Each player starts with 1,500. The more you own, the more rent
you'll get. If you're the last player when all other players have gone bankrupt, you win!
Roll the dice
Your token will move forward that number of spaces. Where did you land?
If you landed on a Street, you'll have the chance to buy that property (if unowned) or you'll have to pay rent to the owner!
If you landed on an action space, you'll have to take the relevant action
If you rolled a double, you can roll the dice again and take another turn
After moving, you can manage your property, if you want to. You can trade, buy/sell buildings
You can trade, buy/sell buildings, or mortgage/unmortgage properties. You can only initiate
these actions on your turn.
Streets
Unowned Streets .
When you land ona Street that no one owns, you must either buy it or auction it.
Owned Streets
When you land ona Street that someone else owns, you must pay them rent! Collect colour sets to build Houses! You can't build Houses until you complete a colour set!
Colour set!
Rent goes up on each Street as soon as you complete the
set. If you buy Houses, rent goes up even more! You can also upgrade to Hotels!
Stations
Stations are like Streets, except that Houses and Hotels cannot be built on
Stations.
Rent depends on how many Stations the owner has:
1 Station = #25 rent
2 Stations = #50 rent
3 Stations = #100 rent
4 Stations = #200 rent
Utilities
Utilities are like Streets, except that Houses and Hotels cannot be built on <—
Utilities.
Rent is based on the dice roll that landed the player on the Utility. If the owner
has 1 Utility, rent is 4x the dice roll. If the player has 2 Utilities, rent is 10x the dice
roll.
Go To Jail
If you land here, you will be taken to the In Jail space immediately! You do not
collect 200 for passing GO, and your turn is over.
You can still collect rent, take part in auctions, buy Houses and Hotels, mortgage
and trade while you are in Jail.
How do | get out of Jail?
When you start your turn In Jail, you have 3 options:
-
Pay 50, then roll and move as normal.
-
Try to roll a double. If you do, you're free! You will use the roll to move, but will not get to roll again (unlike after a normal double). If you fail to roll a double after 3тturns In Jail, you must pay 50 and use your roll to move.
Building Houses
As soon as you get a colour set, you can start buying Houses on those Streets.
You must build evenly. You cannot build a second House on a Street until you've
bought one on each Street in the set. You can only have 4 Houses on a Street.
Building Hotels
Once you have 4 Houses on all Streets in a complete colour set, you can pay to
upgrade to a Hotel.
You can only have 1 Hotel per street. You can't add any more Houses.
Mortgaged Properties
You cannot build on a Street if any Street in its colour set is mortgaged.
Rent cannot be collected on properties that are mortgaged. However, the
increased rent level can be collected on the unmortgaged Streets in a colour set.
The increased rent on unmortgaged Stations and Utilities may be collected in the
same way.
No buildings left?
There are 32 Houses available for purchase from the Bank. If there aren't any left,
you'll have to wait for someone to upgrade to a Hotel or sell some Houses back
to the Bank.
Auctions
If anyone lands on an unowned Street, Station or Utility and doesn’t want to buy
it, Suetology will auction it.
Suetology starts the auction with an asking price of 10.
When a player meets this bid, Suetology increases the asking price.
This continues until no player is willing to meet the asking price. The player with the highest bid wins the property for the agreed price.
If no player is willing to pay the initial 10 asking price, the property remains unsold
Deals & Trades
You can buy, sell or swap property with other players
when it is your turn.
You must sell all buildings on a colour set to the Bank before you can sell or trade a Street. You cannot sell (or trade) buildings to another player.
The amount is decided by the players making the deal.
Property can be traded even if it is mortgaged.
When you received a mortgaged property, either through trade or by bankrupting someone, you must immediately choose whether to unmortgage the mortgage value.
Bankruptcy
You are immediately bankrupt if your debt is greater than your net worth. Your net worth is the total of your money, the resale value of all your buildings, and the mortgage value of
all your unmortgaged properties.
If you are bankrupt, your buildings will all be sold, your properties will all be mortgaged, then all of your money and properties will be transferred to the player to whom you owe the debt. You are then out of the game.
If you are made bankrupt due to a debt owed to the Bank, your properties will be unmortgaged by the Bank and put up for auction.
Raising Money
If you owe money and can't pay, but your net worth is greater than your debt, you'll have to raise money by selling buildings and/or mortgaging properties.
The Auto-Resolve feature makes this easy, by suggesting the best course of action to settle your debt.
If you want to resolve your debt manually, you can do so.
Sell Hotels
Sell Hotels to the Bank for half the cost price. They will be replaced with 4 Houses.
Sell Houses
Sell Houses to the Bank for half the cost price. Houses must be sold evenly across the colour set.
Mortgaging Property
To mortgage a property, you must first sell all buildings in its colour set.
Then you can mortgage the property. The mortgage value is half of the property's face value.
You can repay a mortgage later if you have enough money. The unmortgage cost is the mortgage value + 10%.
How to win
Move around the board buying as many properties (Streets, Stations and Utilities)
as you can. Each player starts with 1,500. The more you own, the more rent
you'll get. If you're the last player when all other players have gone bankrupt, you win!
